Renovation

I can still remember when I was told I would be staying in the "peach room" when I first came to visit; I was so excited and instantly became attached having never even seen the room. Although it was hard, and we felt like we were turning our backs on our child; Mikey and I decided that after we were married we would start life out on a new foot by revamping the "peach room" into our own. The beloved "peach room" has officially become our little cup-of-cocoa...and yes with whipped cream :) Here are a few pictures of the trasformation process...

What's Christmas without a lil cup-of-cocoa?

We are so excited for our first Christmas together. Larissa and I bought a Christmas tree for our room and a few decorations. We feel like we did a pretty darn good job for 30 bucks :-) well... Larissa did, but I did stay and watch the whole time! haha. In the words of Tiny Tim " Merry Christmas, everyone"!!

The loooooooooong drive to Spring Creek, that was sooo worth it :)

Our first trip post honeymoon was to drive to my home town Spring Creek, NV. Most of you have never heard of the place, and those of you who have probably know it from the speeding ticket you got pulled over for! And that really isn't an exageration... Although, it was a really loooong drive that looked identical from one hour to the next, Mikey and I made the best of it and had a great time together.

We went for an open house (which btw was absolutely beautiful!!! Thanks Mom, Nannette, Laura, and all the boys who helped) unfortunately I don't have any pictures of that night becuase they weren't taken on my camera :( I do, however have pictures of our 4 wheeling extraveganza. Ummm... I do need to reference that this ride was some serious dust filled fun. For your safety I have left off all of the pictures of the near cliffs we drove down/up...they would have been far too intense for the faint of heart....you can thank me later..

Mikey and I just love our families and wish that our Spring Creek family lived closer so we could hang out more...we love you all and can't wait for our next loooooooooooonng drive to come and visit :)
