merry christmas

what a great christmas we had at the taylor house. Once again santa came through big for the kids and brought lots of smiles and happy fun times. It was a joy to watch sunni and nicks little boys and spencer and shantis little girls open gifts and watch there reactions. they were so excited and had so much to play with that they didnt know what to do. My mom and dad bought me a new camera which i am extremely happy about. I have always wanted a camera so i can take pictures on all my trips i take. everyone knows im always going some place haha but never have proof of the fun that takes place. I have no excuses now for no updates on my blog. later came the laker game and we were all very anxious to watch the lakers get back at the celtics and they didnt disappoint. Kobe lead the lakers to victory as all us boys, mandi and kristi watched the lakers beat the celtics which just topped of a great christmas day. christmas season

I just love christmas time and all it represents. I look forward to this month every year and now that its here i try to enjoy each day and think about giving and the greatest gift of all our savior. This year is going to be great with our entire family being together, i just cant wait to pack the house full of all of my favorite people and enjoy eachothers company. it is always a blast when us taylors get together, lots and lots of laughs haha. My mom has been working hard decorating the house and getting it just right for christmas. I have posted a few pictures of our tree and the front of our house. i will have to take one at night when all the lights are on as well but for now this will give you the idea of christmas at the taylor house. we have the biggest tree in town for sure haha. when my dad and i went to pick it up we quickly found out just how special our tree was with all the attention we recieved haha, little kids were saying " there they are thats who bought that tree mom thats who bought it" haha. my mom loves the big trees as im sure we all do as well. I love waking up and coming home to the smell of our tree, it just wouldnt be christmas without it. I hope all of you have a merry merry christmas!!!!

thankful

well today is thanksgiving so i wanted to post a few pictures of what im thankful for. I feel like the luckiest guy in the world to have the family i have. I love all of you so much and am so thankful for everything you do for me. all of you are the greatest ever. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!

las vegas drag races

this past weekend i traveled to las vegas for the drag races super nationals. our good friend roger holder raced two cars and another friend of ours dave boles raced his outlaw car. spencer helps both of them with there cars and has such a good time doing it. our friend jerrol kiger flew out for the races as well so it was really fun to see him and hangout a few days. roger ended up winning the whole thing with his orange nova in the extreme drag radial car. he went 7.62 sec in the quarter mile. what a guy. the other two cars had some problems and didnt advance but we were still able to watch them qualify and make a few passes. everyone had a really good time and spent some long days out at the track. people came from all over the country to race which made rogers victory that much sweeter. it is nice to represent the west coast and send those eastsiders back home empty handed haha. a pro street car from new york set the record for the fastest pass at 6.15 at 246 mph in the quarter mile, it was amazing to see these cars go so fast. it is awesome. here are some pictures from the weekend.

NFL SACK LEADER

After reading a few articles about our friend joey porter i decided to pay him alittle tribute. Joey is having his best year as a professional football player. Through just 7 games he has 10.5 sacks which ties his career high for an entire season and he isnt even halfway through this season. They say he is on track to challenge michael strahans record of 22.5 sacks in 2001. Looks like we are hawaii bound for joeys fourth pro bowl, and just maybe a defensive player of the year award. Today against buffalo joey had 2 sacks a forced fumble that lead to a safety and a fumble recovery, leading his team to a victory. the dolphins head coach came to joey right after halftime and said joey we need the ball back go get it and joey answered the call haha. They say he is having his way with everyone he is up against. Get your flipflops out and boardshorts on cause we are headed to the pro bowl fellas. GO FINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LAKER TIME

ok so everyone knows that my dad, sean, michael, spencer and i are die hard laker fans. well this tuesday is the start of another great season for our LA Lakers. It was a disappointing finish to lose in the finals last year but now we have our big boy andrew bynum back. the triple threat of the twin towers and the best player on the planet kobe bryant should lead us to another NBA title. everyone tune in to watch the lakers kill the portland trailblazers on opening night, tues the 28th on tnt haha. GO LAKERS!!!!!

Idaho deer hunt

My cousin ben and I went up to southern idaho just outside of malad for the deer hunt. I flew to salt lake on monday and since it was going to be cold up on the mountain we decided to stay the night in salt lake at his place and get up early for the drive. we got up at 3:30 am drove alittle over two hours to our spot and there was about 10 inches of snow on the ground when we arrived so we were happy we stayed in salt lake and not in a tent haha. we hiked in about 4 miles saw about 25 doe no bucks, had lunch and headed 4 miles back to the pickup. we then set up camp and headed of again. we again saw about 12 doe, although right before dark we saw two bucks. one little two point and another 2 or 3 point that was alittle bigger. i was trying to decide wether to shoot or not and both ben and i were freezing and shaking so bad i didnt think i would be able to hit it plus it was alittle small to shoot on opening day so i passed and we headed back to camp. weds morning we headed back up to the spot we saw the two bucks and ben spotted a buck over 1000 yards away. we werent sure how big he was being so far away so we decided to sneak on him. 30 minutes later we got to were it was at and at this point i was going to shoot regardless after we hiked so far haha. we saw nothing and kept walking when all the sudden we jumped some deer 4 doe and two bucks. i quickly pulled my rifle up to shooting position saw that the front buck was bigger so as they ran down the hill just before moving behind some trees i put the cross hairs right on him and shot. I thought i saw him drop but wasnt sure with the trees in the way so ben walked off to the side to watch the smaller buck run off just in case the other was not hit. I hiked down to the trees about 100 yds away and sure enough there he was laying up against a tree. WHAT A SHOT!! Ben cut all the meat off of him and the horns and then we hiked out alittle slower with all the weight in our packs haha. Big ben was quite the guide. thanks cuz we did it again. here are a few pics of my deer.

miami trip

miami was a blast. I landed in miami at 5:30 pm friday spencer wasnt going to land until 9.so i drove to joey porters house where i just hungout playing madden 09 with joey and some other friends. finally spencer landed so i went and picked him up, went back to joeys for more video games an relaxation haha. Saturday morning joey had practice so spencer and i and some others went to joeys sons football game to cheer him on. it was alot of fun to watch the little guys play. they are the 90 lbs division haha. joeys son plays on the same team as the dolphins corner back will allen and both sons are named after there dads so it was funny to hear the announcer say there names after every play they were involved in haha. After the game we went back to the hotel waited for joey to finish practice then just hungout the rest of the night at his house again. Sunday morning was the game and joey gave us really good seats 16 rows up in the endzone. we went early to watch joey talk trash and warm up haha. they introduced the defensive starters and of course joey was the last one announced coming out of the big dolphins helmet yelling and dancing he way through the cheerleaders and players as the crowd went nuts, it was pretty awesome. It rained pretty good off and on through the game so spencer and i bought some ponchos to stay dry haha. joey gave us players lounge passes so after the game we went down to meet players and see the families etc. since they won it was really cool because they were in good moods haha, so we watched them sign autographs etc. spencer and i took pics with joey and starting middle linebacker channing crowder. it was fun to watch the fans that were outside the gates go crazy when they saw joey yelling his name, taking pictures, wanting autographs etc. i felt pretty cool i have to admit haha. joey then took everyone to dinner at a really nice steakhouse where we chowed down and visited, again it was fun to see peoples faces watch joey eatpeople would come take pics with him or ask for autographs and he was really good about it. spencer and i then drove joey back to his house to get jerseys and have him sign them and then joey was hosting a party at a club in south beach so we took a limo with him and ted ginn jr the dolphins reciever to the club where we had vip treatment haha. we had a blast there before getting home really tired in the early morning. joey flew in lebron james tatoo artist to give tats so monday morning we watched him give some tatoos and hungout with jason ferguson the starting nose tackle and ted ginn jr at the hotel. we then had to head to the airport so we said our goodbyes and that was that haha. It was another stellar trip to miami. go fins hahaha

off to miami

so everyone that knows me knows that i have been quit the traveler as of late and so i thought i would inform everyone of another trip i am about to go on haha. my brother spencer and i are off to miami on friday to watch our friend joey porter who plays for the dolphins play the chargers. we went last year with michael urmston, nick lyman spencer and i and had a blast so i know it is going to be tons of fun again. I will be taking pictures and will post them when i return.

las vegas

well most of you know that i have been on the go lately so i thought i would add a few more updates to what i have been up too. I had to return to palo alto last week to finish a few things on a job so i decided to fly from san jose to las vegas with jerrol and tydus kiger to see spencer and the drag races. I arrived in vegas friday morning and immediately started planning our none stop entertainment weekend haha. we found out there was a concert with three doors down, staind and hinder at the mandalay bay, well of course we have to go to that haha. jerrol, tydus and i went and bought tickets and had a blast for 4 hours of straight rock!!! i have to say it was sweet nectar of pearl haha. day two was off to the races were it was qualifying day for our freind roger holder. like always he was number one which made the mood around the pits nice. oh i forgot to add in that we went to the outdoor outlets and cracked open the wallet for a few purchases haha. day three was the finals and roger won all three races and the final which ended at 3:30 in the morning. monday was labor day and our free day to do whatever so my mom, dad, sunni and nick, shanti and spencer and jerrol tydus and i went to the outdoor mall and i made my big purchase of the weekend haha. a watch haha. we then flew home tuesday morning and i made the dredful drive back from palo alto to return to reality and work. Im already looking forward to the next trip :)

well it has been forever since i last updated this thing so i figured it was about time to write something. This last month has been crazy between work and fun lol. I went to a boston concert with steve young and my friend jerrol and since we were with steve we were able to go back stage and hangout with the band and take pictures and talk, it was super cool. Then jerrol and i flew to utah and went to see journey, heart and cheap trick haha. Jerrol bought front row seats so it was really awesome, then we returned back to cali and went to see peter frampton with steve young and again sat front row, i have to say i have been pretty spoiled knowing mr young and jerrol kiger haha. I wont complain though. Other then that i have been working in palo alto installing a cabinet job. It was my first big install by myself since my dad had to do some work in las vegas, I have to say all went perfect and things are looking great! I was super nervous for some reason even though i have been helping my dad for years. It feels good to be home for a few days before heading out of town again. Oh and i forgot to mention that brian smith , jerrol and i also went and sat front row at a serena williams tennis match at stanford, that was awesome. she is one big woman haha. anway that is a short update on the life of mikey t haha.

work work work

well everyone keeps asking me to update my blog so i figured i better oblige haha. I need to go buy a nice camera so i can start putting pictures on because that is what people really want to see right. any how my dad and i have been extremely blessed with tons of work as of late. we are enjoying ourselves as we do work for our football hero haha. steve young. It is wierd to be working for him and talking with him etc, but hey someone has to do it right haha. Maybe i can have someone use there camera and take some pictures of the theatre room we are doing for him and the cabinets we are doing for others as well. other than work there really isnt much to talk about. jerrol kiger and I played in a golf tourney down in san bernardino for 3 days and had a blast. Golf and work that is the story of my life right now haha. Oh and thank you michael and jamie for having everyone over for the ufc fights. I had a blast hanging out with everyone. Keep checking in on me and maybe i will surprise you all with some pictures someday haha.

great season

well just alittle update for my blog haha. we finished up 11-1 this season so im very pleased with my hoop squad. for some odd reason they didnt set up some kind of playoffs so we got screwed out of the championship but oh well.
Now i get to look forward to the drag races this weekend with spencer and our friend roger holder who owns and drives the race car. it should be a great weekend full of excitement. maybe just maybe i will get some pictures for my blog haha. i will update after i get back haha.

worse call ever haha

well you know how i was bragging about my hoop team. well we finally lost and let me tell you how. I tied the game up with a three point shot with about 20 seconds to go and they called time out. they came back out and ran the clock down to around 5 seconds and took a shot that my friend derek blocked CLEAN BLOCK by the way haha. when they came back down the opponent fell back and grabbed derek so the ref called foul. can you believe it. they called foul with the game tied and no time left. what a joke. he made one foul shot and that was it, so now we are tied for first. We also played the entire game with just 5 guys and michael pulled his calf muscle in the second quarter so he had to try and play through it. im still proud of my team we gave them everything they could handle.

what a squad

well i just had to brag alittle bit about the hoop team i put together. we are now 7-0 and first in the league. whats funny is that when i went to sign up i wanted to put us in the C league so that we would not get killed but the main guy called and wanted us in the b league so i said sure. well the A league only had two teams so they combined us with them and yet we are still the team to bit. My brother in law michael urmston, cousin brian smith and few other buddies help form the team. we hope to win it all but we have lots of work left thats for sure. Go lakers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

back home for a minute

well we finally got to come home for a few days. we have been in henderson nevada staying with spencer and shanti trying to finish up job for spencers boss and spencer and shantis kitchen as well. we have been working crazy hours and everything is just awesome. i cant wait to post some pics of the finished product for all to see. we love staying there and visiting with spencer and shanti and the little girls. thanks you guys we love you. we are now back to good old bakersfield until thursday than we have to go back for a few more days haha. we might as well open a shop in vegas i guess.
i have been missing my basketball season but my team is holding it down until i return haha. like im going to make a difference. anway i thought i would shock everyone a update my blog twice in one week. wow what a guy. check in soon for the pics. GO LAKERS

well im in vegas with dad working on boyds kitchen and spencer and shantis and everyone is waiting for an update so i thought i would write alittle something. i need to get some pics because i know thats what everyone wants to see anyway haha. well dad and i are getting close to finishing here and we are getting very anxious since it always sucks working out of town for long periods of time. the cabinets we have built are awesome and everyone is really impressed so i will be sure to post some pics of the fine craftmenship haha. we are all excited to see spencer and shantis new kitchen so i will be sure to post those pics as well, if i dont they will haha. I need to hurry home for my hoop team i put together, im excited to get on the court with michael, mandis husband brian and a few other good buddies. we got moved to the b league so hopefully we dont get killed, i would hate to be the miami heat of the league. oh it would be a good post without mentioning how great my lakers are this year. how about the best in the west baby and kobe is taking us back to the promise land. GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!
